2014 Big Training Days
Make big gains in your fitness this winter by joining us for our big training days! Each BTD will include an indoor group ride of up to 3 hours; a run off the bike of up to 90 minutes; a core/functional strength session; and a stretching/cool down session. Consistently getting in big endurance-base-focused workouts like this over the winter season will have huge payoffs in the spring, regardless of the distance you’re training for. These days are suitable for all athletes of all abilities training for all distances. We all follow the same workout but everyone works at their own pace. We’ll have draw prizes from our sponsors, too! Each BTD will take place at at Balance Physiotherapy from 8.30am-2.30pm. For the run we’ll be running a mostly out-and-back route through Centennial Park along beautiful, traffic free recreation trails. We will have four BTDs in 2014 so sign up and bring your friends!
To keep the three hour workout interesting, each workout will broken into 3x 60 minute sessions. Mosf of the time will be spent at your endurance/zone 2 intensity, but we’ll be doing some tempo and shorter higher intensity blocks of training as well. You’re welcome to join in at any time. For example, if you only want to ride with us for 90 minutes, you can show up at 10.30am and jump right into the workout! We offer a lot of flexibility to make sure the workout is suitable for everyone. Please email us if you have any questions.

Arrive, set up your bike, change into riding clothes
Ride ends, clean up and change into your running gear

$50 per session ($40 for Ignition Fitness coached athletes)*
$90 for two sessions ($75 for Ignition Fitness coached athletes)*
$120 for three sessions ($105 for Ignition Fitness coached athletes)*
$150 for all four sessions ($120 for Ignition Fitness coached athletes)*
Class sizes are limited so book early to reserve your spot!
*We are extending our athletes' discount to members of the Kim Lumsdon Triathlon Swim Club, NYAC Masters Swim members, and Toronto Triathlon Club members. If you are a member of any of these programs, you qualify for our athlete discount!
The workouts will be structured, but each participant will be working at their own pace and effort. Each workout will have targeted heart rate, power or perceived exertion targets.
